Dharamshala- The abode of Dalai Lama

Dharamshala is one of the most popular hill stations in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Dharamshala is also known as “Mini Tibet in India”. It gives you a magnificent view of Dhauladhar covered with snow, surrounded by deodar and pine forests, tea gardens and beautiful hills.

It is the residence of Noble Laureate the "Dalai Lama" that has become an international platform with a number of Tibetan settlements. Dharamsala is an official and most visiting tourist city for foreigners.

There are many sightseeing attractions in the city and nearby Dharamshala.  There are two main unique areas in Dharamshala that is still been unexplored namely- Satobari and Naddi areas.

The area Satobari offers tourist some beautiful and peaceful experience where one can enjoy the nature by the magic of heavy fog. Whereas the other area named Naddi is known as “Paradise of its own”. The area is calm and peaceful who are seeking for some leisure tours.  This place is in the heart of snow-clad Dhauladhar range.

You can take a beautiful trek which can be done by beginners/enthusiasts through forests of deodar, oak and others. Trekking, angling, cycling, bird-watching are some activities that you can enjoy in the city of Dharamshala. It will fully satisfy and fulfill to your expectation level.

Best Season

Best time to visit Dharamshala is from the months of January to June and September to December. It is a year-round destination.


Summer Temperature: Between 25°C to 35°C Winter Temperature: Between 16°C to -1°C


Light woolens / cottons are suitable during Summer season and heavy woolen clothes during Winter.
